Retail Bank Sales and Distribution

Retail Bank Sales & Distribution vertical is an agglomeration of various channels responsible for acquiring customers with segment driven relationship model that serves clients across the full spectrum of consumer banking needs. The key channels under this business are Suvidha (Citi @ Work), Affluent, SKY Branch and Service.

Role Outline/Job Summary

Acquisition marketing and Merchandising Manager (AMM) will be responsible for identifying avenues to increase throughput at Citi touchpoints for Suvidha (Citi @ Work) and Affluent businesses. Key Suvidha initiatives include corporate & corporate park activations and creation of networking opportunities with corporate Chief Decision Makers (CDM) for strategic results. Golf, luxury brand partnerships & entrepreneur associations are central to affluent acquisition. The AMM’s responsibility will include having a city level view of planned engagements, clients/contacts’ engaged, 30/60/90D results tracking, expense management and adherence to controls & compliance requirements.

Objective Client acquisition growth and corporate  deepening through B2C engagement and B2B networking for new signups

Responsibilities : Acquisition view: Build and maintain conduit for streamlined flow of acquisition funnel from corporates and affluent partnerships while maintaining optimal cost of acquisition

Networking : Create unique and engaging events for corporate senior management (CDM) networking – key avenue for informal introduction and onboarding target corporates

Relationship view: Continued CDM engagement at legacy corporates to deepen the relationship

Strategic view: Leverage the affluent partnerships to table unique experiences to Suvidha CDMs and top management

Promote Collaboration : Leverage internal partnerships with Branch, ICG/CCB, SKY and service teams at eventsCoverage: Ensure high quality execution and drive all events on the ground

Discipline in training, certifications, HR related time lines adherence

Education: Post Graduate/MBA

Experience: 5- years of experience in Business development & relationship management

Skills:

  • Ability to Influence corporate decision maker for Citi’s employee engagement initiatives and CDM engagements
  • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • End to end, spotless execution drive with fulfillment ownership
  • Anticipate and pro-actively ringfence on-the-ground risks, delays
  • Understanding of the local geography

  • On March 30, 2022 , Citi reached an agreement with Axis Bank for the sale of Citi’s consumer businesses in India. The transaction comprises the sale of the consumer banking businesses of Citibank India, which includes credit cards, retail banking, wealth management and consumer loans. The transaction also includes the sale of the consumer business of Citi’s non-banking financial company, Citicorp Finance (India) Limited, comprising the asset-backed financing business, which includes commercial vehicle and construction equipment loans, as well as the personal loans portfolio. It excludes Citi’s institutional client businesses in India. Citi remains committed and focused on serving institutional clients in India and globally. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2023 subject to requisite regulatory approvals. As this particular role operates within the scope of Citi’s consumer businesses, the successful candidate will initially be employed by Citi, but on sale completion, her/his employment will transfer to Axis Bank.
