The Private Bank offers unmatched global reach, coupled with a full range of portfolio management and investment advisory services, an array of structured lending and banking services, as well as expertise from Citi's Markets and Banking division.

The role provides the opportunity to work with Private Bankers and clients directly to service the documentational needs of both client and bank.  This allows for personal progression in the understanding of regulatory requirements, exposure to a number of related areas including Relationship Management, Transaction Support, wide array of financial products and direct sales administration. The role affords the successful candidate exponential knowledge of external developments in the KYC, Tax, Compliance sectors and other evolving requirements pertaining to the industry standards for client acceptance/onboarding.

Description:

The role provides the opportunity to work with Private Bankers and clients directly to service the documentational needs of both client and bank.  This allows for personal progression in the understanding of regulatory requirements, exposure to a number of related areas including Relationship Management, Transaction Support, wide array of financial products and direct sales administration.

Responsibilities:

  • The role will requires a strong understanding incoming complex structures and facilitating direct guidance to clients on CPB policy / regulatory driven requirements to get it right first time.
  • Preparation of and sharing of full documentation and guidance applicable to  open each type of account.
  • Building KYC profiles based upon information provided by clients. Ensuring strong KYC data is collected from client.
  • When allocated a completed account application pack, CAO will review and validate documents promptly and revert to client with full description of gaps and recommended resolutions in line with procedures for best client experience. Perform all necessary background checks, e.g. CS4, Factiva & internet search.
  • When client profile is submitted and requires escalated approvals, CAO will proactively engage team lead and assist to prepare suitable write ups to help senior approvers understand reason for escalation and due diligence carried out to mitigate any applicable risk.
  • Work to reduce the end to end account delivery cycle time. Proactively manage client expectations on delivery of account.
  • Participate in process improvement & regulatory reviews.
  • This position requires strong ability to work independently to apply knowledge of policy and procedures to ensure that all aspects of the client’s profile are acceptable with no exceptions while enhancing the client experience.
  • The role has a close working interaction with Banking Team, Clients, compliance, KYC, Business Risk and account opening quality control partner among others to deliver a bespoke service.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience in KYC or AML Compliance or account opening, ideally gained from working in a similar role / industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure within hard deadlines
  • Degree level education preferred
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Word
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English plus German.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Well organized with strong attention to detail
