Financial Reporting Analyst

As a core member of the Financial Reporting Team in Luxembourg, the Financial Reporting Analyst is involved in supporting services across a portfolio of different investments funds.  Activities include the production of financial statements, regulatory reporting, client reporting and subscription tax returns.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of annual and interim financial statements in accordance with GAAP (IFRS and Lux GAAP)
  • Preparation and review of CSSF, BCL reporting and subscription tax returns
  • Preparation and review of client reporting
  • Ensure seamless delivery of required reporting to Citi's clients and regulatory bodies
  • Perform completeness and accuracy checks of reports
  • Ensure checklists and procedures are followed during the production of reports
  • Complete maintenance tasks on the Confluence reporting platform
  • Act as primary contact for the clients, regulatory bodies and external auditors for covered activities and ensure that queries/issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Establish relationships and collaborate effectively with the offshore financial reporting team
  • Initiate, maintain and develop effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in key projects and productivity initiatives
  • Keep abreast of industry, regulatory, and accounting developments and assist in implementing and meeting the reporting requirements
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Knowledge/Experience

  • Significant experience from a similar role preferable
  • Strong knowledge of reporting standards mainly Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to funds industry
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg funds vehicles, financial instruments and accounting.

Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the funds’ industry
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise within tight deadlines while maintaining total accuracy
  • Proven team player experience and ability to work across global teams
