The Benefits Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Aids in developing and executing the firm's reward strategy.
  • Manages the key areas of reward, benefits and pensions and liaises with third parties to develop a consistent best practice approach.
  • Assists with managing Citi’s Health Care programs including Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, Trip/Transit, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Retiree Medical Programs (U.S. Domestic and Puerto Rico populations).
  • Ensures that reward practices are compliant with the relevant regulatory recommendations and requirements are also covered in this function.
  • Handles and resolves escalated individual participant issues.
  • Assists with regular internal and external audits.
  • Manages regulatory filings and state reporting.
  • Contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business.
  • Assists with vendor management to ensure ongoing quality of benefits delivery.
  • Develops communications for employees and Human Resource (HR) colleagues and identify improvements to existing communications.
  • Handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
  • Manages health and welfare benefits impacts resulting from mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.
  • Manages volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area.
  • Ensures motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Benefits; experience in Mobility will be a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Proactive leadership and motivational skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven influencing and relationship management skills
  • Bi-lingual capability (Japanese & English)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
