Job Summary

The candidate will have primary responsibility of software quality assurance from Business perspective. He / She will be working as part of Change Management team and assist in testing of projects related to Global Fund Services for timely completion of scheduled projects. He / She is responsible for maintaining overall Book of Work, Costing, Resourcing, and continuous improvement of Testing processes. It will require working with Global IT, Product and Operations senior management to provide a high-quality software product to the internal and external clients and meet the agreed and expected service standards. The candidate will also be responsible for defining test automation framework, lead test automation initiative and implement best automation tools and practices for the testing team. The candidate must be open to work for staggered shifts in a 24x7work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide functional test analysis, planning, design, execution, and reporting for testing assignments
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of the assigned testing tasks
  • Lead domain knowledge building and train the team as necessary
  • Estimation & Milestone planning for the project and provide estimates for the UAT
  • Highlight Risk and issues at management level
  • Extensive liaison and direct contact with diverse range of business and technology functions, both within the bank and with key vendors
  • For the specific testing project, support the Project Manager(s) by contributing to the Test Plan(s) for the relevant test phases, the Test Readiness Reviews, test progress reporting, the Test Completion/Summary Reports and Test Defect Reports
  • Prepare where required: Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Test Coverage analysis for a given testing assignment
  • Work closely with the stakeholders or other groups in preparation and execution of the planned functional testing
  • Play a lead role in the analysis and reporting of test results, working closely with business, technology, and support areas to investigate and interpret test findings
  • Assist in the reception and quality assurance of the business requirements, solution design and business process documents individual projects
  • Sound knowledge of Defect Management Process and handling its different phases
  • Able to take Defect and Client calls with quick responsiveness on asked actions
  • Hands on experience on developing help guides/ User Manual/ MIS reports
  • Develop and extend collaborative working relationships with senior clients, technology suppliers and operational support areas in order to quickly understand requirements, resolve problems/issues, suggest solutions, and identify areas for service improvement
  • As a member of the Test Work stream, participate in peer reviews of Test Approaches, Test Plans, Test Conditions and Test Scripts as well as contributing to the on-going development of test strategy and policy within the Testing Programme
  • Develops automation approaches for various types of testing (SIT, UAT etc.) for web/ UI and database applications 
  • Understand the scope of testing and review of Requirements document and prepare the test plan based on realistic targets
  • Track the schedule and testing progress and be accountable for the tasks and releases
  • Manage client meetings and defect calls independently
  • Ensure innovative solution for challenging deliveries
  • Knowledge of Agile and Risk based testing

Experience, Skills & Qualification

  • 6-9 years of experience in testing lifecycle in Investment Banking domain
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Securities and Fund Services domain. Corporate Actions experience will be an added advantage
  • Corporate action processing systems experience preferred

Essential:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or finance preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on functional testing experience in Investment Banking domain
  • In-depth understanding of trade life cycle and different instruments used from investment banking perspective
  • Extensive working experience of all phases of SDLC, is Agile, Waterfall and Scrum methodologies
  • Must possess sound knowledge on Corporate Actions/ Pricing/Fund Accounting domain.
  • Exposure to global client and understanding of global work culture
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation and service commitment
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks and meets strict deadlines
  • Must be prepared to work in a shift in line with regions supported including India night shifts
  • Innovative approach to work and continuously identifies and implement process improvements
  • Excellent project and time management skills

  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Ability to influence change at difference levels of the organization
  • Detailed practical experience of the use of JIRA/ALM/Equivalent test management tool
  • Expertise in MS Office application particularly in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in MIS reporting to senior leadership team
  • Ability to manage complex programmes and project plans with due diligence

Desirable:

  • ISTQB or ISEB testing qualifications preferred
  • Experience in application like MOM, MOTO, SSM, XSP, COAC, BANCS/FundGuard/ Alladin / InvestOne / GSM / PMC/ MF will be an added advantage
  • Hands-on experience on Selenium, UFT, Postman / SOAP UI; automated testing tools and techniques
  • Experience in migrating manual testing processes to automated solutions
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Developer and Macros
