Safety and Soundness is a part of the Global Consumer Technology (GCT) Engineering Risk & Controls and Transformation organization.  Safety and Soundness (S&S) is a first line of defense function that services GCT customers through the oversight and execution of information security and technology governance, risk and compliance.  As a S&S GRC lead, you will be an integral member of the S&S Governance and Controls team.  This team focuses on supporting Application Managers (AMs) thru technology Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) processes specifically related to the management of applications, oversight of all Issues and Corrective Actions, executive reporting, and process enhancements.  This role will collaborate with the GCT Leadership teams, CBORC Risk and Control Leads, CBORC MCA Leads, control owners, process owners, and application managers.  This role will work with the stakeholders to identify root cause(s) for breeched controls and potential breaches, work with stakeholders to document Issues and CAPS needed to address/correct/improve the process to mitigate the risk associated with the control process.  This role will facilitate, document and hold accountable responsible parties and propose solutions to better manage our approach to compliance with Citigroup Risk and Control policies, best practices and requirements, ensuring GCT strictly adheres to Citi policies, standards, and regulatory commitments.

This role prefers a background of existing experience associated with enterprise control management and Assessment process, Citi Risk and Compliance tools and a drive to be in the trenches with the stakeholders to better drive to achievement to the strategic objectives set by the Risk and Control and GCT Leadership team, affecting the overall control performance and effectiveness of the organization.

The ideal candidate either have experience supporting the PBWM organization with Application Governance, Project Management, Change Management, Information Security, Continuity of Business or experience with Citibank Risk and Control processes and controls.  As a key addition to the Safety and Soundness Team this individual will play a critical role in researching and identifying root causes, coordinating strategy, obtaining results, sustaining excellence and proactively communicate issues to leadership and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage:  Develop and drive ownership and accountability of control objectives supporting aligned IT initiatives.
    • Drive clear, concise, pragmatic outcomes with control and process owners that balance risk with business objectives.
    • Provide cross-functional team engagement to ensure successful achievement of objectives.
    • Deliver projects and programs; facilitate agreement on objectives and success measures, provide overall project/program issue resolution and roadblock removal. 
  • Inspire:  Develop trust and build strong, authentic, productive relationships within the organization and with key stakeholders.  Effectively engage and collaborate with necessary parties, including but not limited too; Risk Leads, MCA Leads, Development organizations, Project Management teams and tool liaisons across our organization to develop, define and build on innovative ideas and business priorities.
    • Act as a role model for developing and maintaining positive, collaborative stakeholder relationships.
    • Engage across the organization to quickly connect information and people to drive enterprise projects, programs, and initiatives.
    • Understand stakeholder drivers and use that knowledge and those relationships to drive effective prioritization and roadmaps for delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Cyber Security or related field.
  • Hands-on and strong experience 5+ years Application Governance, Project Management, Change Management, Information Security, Continuity of Business or experience with Citibank Risk and Control processes and controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to decipher and prioritize asks accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of internal Citi Tools (Architecture, Tableau, COB Trac, etc).
  • Track record of anticipating gaps and finding sound solutions.
  • Proven solid written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate status, risks, and issues to executive management.
