The Media Sciences team is tasked with transforming our media capabilities, investment and measurement, while delivering positive return on marketing investment and future-proofing our business. The team works in close partnership with US and Global Digital Media, Analytics, Acquisitions, Advertising, Sponsorship, Entertainment and Product Management teams.    

The SVP, Media Sciences is a senior role with extensive experience in media measurement, reporting, attribution and data, and possesses a deep understanding of the media ecosystem across all media channels. This role sits within the Citi Global Insights and Analytics team in Enterprise Marketing & Brand Engagement (EMBE) in the Client Org, and will matrix into the Media team in USPB (US Personal Banking).

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Citi’s media measurement framework, including performance reporting, attribution strategy and ad hoc media analyses

  • Partner closely with, and understand the measurement requirements of internal stakeholders to help enable data driven decision making for media planning and optimization

  • Manage the attribution measurement and reporting process for all lines of business, overseeing all aspects including report QA, insights generation and sharing up to senior stakeholders

  • Work in close partnership with external agency partners and internal product, media and audience teams to develop test and learn agenda, test design and advanced analytics projects for cross-channel measurement

  • Calibrate media performance from across multiple data sources and reports to provide a clear media performance narrative, translating data into clear and actionable insights for senior stakeholders

  • Meet with vendors and develop a deep understanding of different methodologies to help evaluate and support the development of innovative and future proof measurement solutions. Understand the identity landscape and implications on measurement and audience targeting

  • Lead measurement work streams with external agency team members and internal stakeholders, creating a positive and collaborative culture

The ideal candidate

  • 10+ years’ experience within media measurement and analytics, either on the client side, agency side or publisher side

  • Solid understanding of media planning principles, digital and emerging media platforms

  • Expertise in media measurement approaches including attribution, MMM, ad effectiveness and emerging platforms

  • Familiarity with Adtech and Martech tools (audience management tools, DSP/SSP, bid management, ad serving, web analytics, identity solutions, etc)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to distill data into business insights and implications for senior leadership

  • Should be able to independently own workstreams involving multiple stakeholders, show strong sense of accountability and decisiveness in strong work ethic

  • Must be ready for hands on involvement in measurement to identify roadblocks and uncover solutions, operate with curiosity and is hypothesis driven

  • Must be process oriented and organized, able to manage multiple workstreams across different teams

  • Ability to adapt and deliver high-quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Effective team player with experience in successfully influencing others and navigating complex and highly-matrixed organizations

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization skills and strong presentation skills to senior level leadership stakeholders

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$149,600.00 - $224,400.00
