Data Analytics Lead Analyst (VP) – Generative AI

The Data Analytics Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

• Serving as a data scientist to help evaluate Generative AI applications for compliance with fair lending regulations in the Office of Fair Lending and Privacy, Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM).

• Developing methodologies to evaluate test and evaluate generative AI applications for compliance with fair lending regulations.

• Assisting in the development and administration of Compliance training related to evaluation of generative AI applications for the supported function/business/product.

• Researching any new reform rules and rule changes and implementing policies, procedures, or other controls necessary to comply with the rules related to generative AI algorithms.

• Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.

• Contributing to data analytics standards around which others will operate.

• Applying in-depth understanding of how data analytics collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function.

• Employing developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

• Resolving occasionally complex and highly variable issues.

• Producing detailed analysis of issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/ taken.

• Responsible for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of data science projects along with short-term planning resource planning.

• Assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years experience using codes for statistical modeling of large data sets preferred

• In-depth knowledge and understanding and demonstrated experience working with: LLM’s and other AI/ML model development or validation.

• Model development experience required, preferably with AI/ML methods in finance or banking

• Experience working in the explainable AI/ML field

• Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization

• Expertise and hands-on experience in advance programming using one of/multiple: SAS / R, Python and SQL for basic data mining

• Experience and knowledge of Big Data tools preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis / Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics or equivalent experience

• Masters degree preferred
