The Loan Cross Border and Data analyst role is designed to accomplish results through developing and maintaining relationships within Loan Operation and partnering with our compliance and governance counterparts. Responsibilities within this role include Overseeing Cross Border Data adherence for the Loans Operations space which will include oversight of compliance to Data Privacy Controls, in Country Governance, and Compliance requirements. This function requires extensive knowledge of Country laws and Country Regulations, Policy and Procedures, and process Controls. This function will include management of the Metrics & Data Analytics Book of Work, Oversight of creation and maintenance of implemented procedures and management of entitlements within the metrics space.Strong analytics and Documentation skills are needed.The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in one or more of Citi’s lines of business, ability to gather and analyze metrics and a proven record of addressing and managing varied volumes of work autonomously

Responsibilities:

  • Provides Project Management from a Cross Border standpoint for the Loans applications and processes
  • Develop effective working relationships with ICG Controls leadership, Cross Border Data Clearance (CBDC) team, Privacy Office, O&T Independent Compliance and Risk Management, and key ICG Business points of contact
  • Manages clearance requests to completion through CBAT application and partners with CBDC and Business subject matter experts in order to meet established service level targets
  • Ensuring the team is effectively leveraging reports, dashboards and other information to effectively manage and monitor closure of open actions prohibiting clearance
  • Providing senior level reporting on metrics and Performing data analysis to identify trends that may indicate noncompliance
  • Documenting effective procedures to identify and address disclosure requirements, and to ensure that data is being collected and used in accordance with those disclosures
  • Supporting external compliance reviews and internal audits of the Loan Operation Cross Border Data Clearance programs and helps mitigate Corrective Action Plans for metrics data analytics
  • Interface and guide Loan Operations during initiative on-boarding into an automated workflow application adhering to and improving upon required documentation standards.
  • Develop metrics to track, demonstrate and expand upon the compliance to privacy, outsourcing and bank secrecy laws and regulations globally that support effective and efficient onboarding operations.
  • Highlight the importance of Privacy to key stakeholders and senior leaders via great communication of complex frameworks into understandable and actionable requirements.
  • Provide guidance on the requirements for clearance; Develop/maintain solution for soliciting detail required to assess clearance obligations        
  • Create and provide the Executive Summary to Coordinator     
  • Complete pre-work activities in collaboration with CBDC and submit final initiative in CBAT
  • Prepare Conditional Clearance oversight and Handover project to business risk and controls for future monitoring.
  • Comprehensive  knowledge of compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and adhering to Policies.
  • Reasonable expertise of using evaluative and ethical judgment to make decisions.
  • Complete understanding of identifying, mitigating, resolving, managing and escalating risks and issues.
  • Extensive skills of ability to view multiple perspectives, prioritize, adapt and multi-task.
  • Extensive ability to think strategically, considering the end-to-end, adjacent impacts to the broader system; to formulate strategies and innovate.
  • Reasonable abilities to analyze and think critically and conceptually and interpretively to solve problems. Includes ability to identify opportunities, assess needs, conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, synthesize insights and provide recommendations.
  • Adequate experience to effectively communicate (written and verbal) and present with diplomacy; Ability to build and manage relationships through advising, collaborating, influencing, negotiating and persuading.  
  • Acceptable abilities to manage, improve, and design processes and standard operating procedures, including managing KPIs and SLAs to monitor and enhance service quality and process integrity.
  • General understanding of implementing projects for system Implementation, technology enhancements through project management and coordination skills.
  • General experience to managing and developing a team or multiple teams, including people-related actions and decisions such as performance evaluations, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Experience managing complex activities


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Energetic leader who is able to lead and drive initiatives and deliverables 
  • Sound knowledge of financial products, accounting principles and practices
  • High degree of numeracy, an analytical approach to tasks and problem solving skills are essential
  • Ability to understand complex data and condense into key themes


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
